Is it still open? The Naval training center next door has been closed for years. I remember when the Navy boots would show up, they would be told that if they didn’t like boot camp, they were more than welcome to jump the fence and go AWOL. However jumping the fence would put them in the USMC boot camp and they would be screaming to come back! LOL!
