What is Initial Drill for Marine Corps boot camp?

    It is the first inspection they have for how good they are at drill, winning just gives them bragging rights.

    It’s a drill competition held near the end of the first month. It just means they beat out the other platoons.

    You get to perform various drill movements and several rifle movements in front of inspectors who grade you as a platoon.

    It is called initial drill because it is your first competition. Towards the end you have another competition. That is called final drill.

    Its were you marched and are judged by the "drill master". Its very stupid and is a waste for time
