What exactly does the United States Marine Corps do?
A good friend of mine is a United States Marine and has finished boot camp. He came home for two weeks and flew out to California again all I know is that he is infantry. Can someone please tell me a little more about what it is he would me doing?

If it absolutley needs to be killed overnight, the Marines do the job.
Land them on the beach, and tell them you want everything dead from the beach to a point on land, come back the next day, they will be cooking out at that point with nothing left.
The Marines are the guys always on the string, always ready and prepositioned to fight. The land on beaches and establsh beach heads, they air drop into tough points, and generally kick the crap out of anything in their way.
Kill, with little to no mercy.

Well basically he is going to take the
American way of life to Afghanistan
and try and share it with them…
