Semper Fidelis and always keep your rear down .

  • Tol1as says:

@gazc831 a) break your mental defences a bit b) establish the drill sergeants as figures of authority c) establish that superiors can shout at you whenever they feel like it d) make sure you get used to high levels of noise e) raise your appreciation for shouting in general .. most military superiors like getting responses in a loud, determined, tone – interpreting it that your morale is high

Does anybody have any tips to deal with the DI’s yelling? I get very angry when anybody gets in my face and yells, no matter who they are.

  • LoveMyMarine0710 says:

@webeglitchin I really don’t think they are any “tips”. when my fiancee joined he hated being yelled at, but honestly once you go through it all you get um “used” to it or more like..you learn to I guess deal with it… I can’t really say for sure since I did not go through it myself, my fiancee did.

my brother is in boot camp now

  • yoyoyo131 says:

@webeglitchin Get over it, if you really want to be a marine you would. i don’t think anybody likes getting somebody in their face yelling at them… If that’s what it takes to be a marine i will do it.

  • 1olirob says:

It’s all about discipline…take it like a man! I retired after 20 years.

  • chestnevsky1 says:

You just need to suck it. You will understand this phrase when you get to boot camp. As a former Marine, good luck to you. It i s nothing but mind over matter.

  • xGNxOwner says:

bring back the draft; if not, you’re better off in college…even community college.

  • rockon71123 says:

well there’s cons to the draft, the biggest of which is the quality of the military plummits because who wants to join the military if they dont want to. lucky for me i do want to join and why the hell not fight with the Marines?

  • rjr6d says:

my barracks is in this clear as day!!! home sweet home…best 3 months ever…be intense with everything they put you through and it won’t seem as bad…the hardest thing to remember but most important i think is to remember it isn’t personal…they really DON’T dislike you…just….”frustrated”..hahaha
