The recruiters told us to expect a phone call from him within 72 hours, but it’s been 1 week and we haven’t heard anything. I am getting very worried

I am sure hes ok. i had son go into the army and hes called several times but then again hes been a good boy and sometimes if one messes up they have them all be reprimanded. so it could be hes that way. i am not sure but he will get ahold of you he will be home for christmas and then graduating he’ll have a date and stuff you can go to i am not sure if its 6 or 8 weeks training for him but remember hes int he best uniform he can be in i am a marines daughter and will always praise them for being the best of the best.

We did not get a call for almost 3 weeks
At the latest you will hear from him on Christmas as they will allow calls that day. At least for us they did.
there should have been a call tellin you hes there. other than that it depends on his drill Sargent. i leave for basic in feb and i can take my cell phone but i have to dive it to my srt and he decides when i can use it and for how long
He should have gotten..One like 30 second call to say "I’m here, I’m safe, oh hell what I’d get myself into" on arrival.
Is it possible he spent his one call on someone else…like a girlfriend?
Don’t worry. He’s okay. They’re just super busy all the time. I know how you feel, my husband has been in the Marine Corps for 4 years. He went to boot camp in San Diego too and is now stationed in Camp Pendleton. He says they never have a break for anything at boot camp. He used to write me letters in the dark during his sleeping time because that’s the only free time they gave them.
He’s alright. He’s training with the best military force on earth.
He probably didnt get a chance to call you or maybe he called someone else for his one minute call. But don’t worry you should get a letter from him PDQ
He should have gotten one call to let someone know he arrived.
