The military incurs significant costs to put people through any training. It costs the military about $35,000 to put someone through Basic Training. The government can’t afford to give away $35K worth of training for free. Your friend would have to pay for the training by providing his services to the Marines for several years.

    nope
unless he does something to get kicked out

  • You know you hate me:

Your buddy does know at the end of boot camp you earn the EGA. So therefore he would be a Marine. There is no way to attend USMC boot camp without signing a contract with the military. Tell your friend to grow up.

Your "friend" will not be able to do this since you have to actually enlist in the Marine Corps before you can go to boot camp.

  • Curious One:

Tell your friend to go challenge himself – but we don’t want him.

If you want to play you got to pay. Which is to say, only recruits who have signed up to serve in the Marines get a chance to challenge themselves at Marine Corps Boot Camp. It’s not summer camp. And it’s not just for your "self fulfillment." It’s training for war.
