You know how U.S. Marine Corps boot camp graduation is this big graduation ceremony and your family members are there and everybody that is special to you is there? Is U.S. Army boot camp graduation like that? Do you get ten days of leave after Army boot camp graduation like you do in the marines? Or do you go straight to your MOS training? What happens right after Army boot camp graduation?
Depends on your job…
I’m infantry so I can only speak for us. After the 14wks at Ft. Benning we had the turning blue ceremony the day before graduation. We wore class A’s and marched to the parade field where our family members came to pin on our blue chords. The next day we wore ACU’s and graduated. If your DS’ didn’t hate you, you were allowed to be on Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program(HRAP); Where you did 2wks of helping your recruiter out like a 9-3 job…. no leave was taken. If you didn’t get that you had the option of using your leave days for leave. Or you could go straight to your duty station.
yes it is like that they have a big graduation and your family is there and i believe that you get a few days off aswell.
All of the graduations are identical.
yes in graduation your family is there and everyone else you invite, and no you do not get 10 days of leave like the marine corps. you will go straight to your mos school and attend leave after graduation of your mos. so it can be anywhere from another 8 weeks or so till you get to take leave.
