How should i prepare for Marine Corps Boot Camp?

I want a hard workout routine. I don’t have a swimming pool close, i live in country with no gym close to. I have dung-bells that it. I will run 5 miles a day and then what should i do?

    Dung Bells?

Huff paint, beat your head in with a rock, practice coloring on coloring book (the Marines come down hard on those who color outside the lines.)

you might also want to toss those dumbbells into a back pack, get a good pair of boots and start hiking long distance
also go to the closest recruiting station and ask about Poolee functions these should help you learn teamwork and a lot of knowledge before you leave

Run a hell of a lot dude. You should also vary your runs. For instance, run a long distance run of about 3 miles straight without stopping at a steady pace one day, and the next day run a mile, stop and do 3 sets of like 20 pushups, 20 crunches, and 20 pullups; when you are done run another mile and repeat the cycle until you’ve done at least 3 miles. Just repeat that cycle throughout your week because in the Corps, you are going to be running the O-course one day and either the next or very same day you might go on a long hike. Good luck in boot.

No matter what sort of physical shape you are in, Marine Corps boot camp will be extremely challenging. You could literally be a world champion athlete – and the drill instructors would still make it physically hard for you – that is the whole point of boot camp.

Being in good physical shape (like being able to run 5 miles) plus having basic strength (ability to do pull ups, push ups, etc.) before heading for boot camp will mean that you are less likely to wash out, or be forced to go through remedial programs.

But it is a lack of mental toughness, the ability to withstand the almost relentless yelling, criticism, and other stressful activities that they put recruits through that causes most to fail. Whatever you can do to prepare yourself mentally for the challenges that boot camp will pose, that is your best preparation. What is mental toughness? The ability to stay calm when someone is standing half an inch from your face screaming abuse at you. When you’ve spent 20 hours crawling through cold mud. Working on little sleep and not much food. When you get punishment duty because someone else in your squad screwed up. When you can take all that, and still remain cool, and part of a team (your fellow recruits)- that is mental toughness.
