absolutely the same. there’s only two MCRD…San Diego and Parris Island. West of the Mississippi…San Diego, East, The Island
They go to the same boot!
Both Recruit Depots train both, active and reserves together. USMC boot camp is all the same for both. You will have active and reserve training right alongside each other. Had several reservists in my boot camp plt.
Same-O
Same-O
They even go to the same technical schooling and additional training.
Wow, the Marines are so nice to those part-timers.
LOL
Before you ask about the other services. They do exactly the same thing.
All recruits regardless whether they are active or reserves will go through boot camp, MCT/ITB and/or MOS school (this entry level training is called Initial Active Duty Training.) The only males and females are trained separately during boot camp, but reservist and active duty folks train together.
Yes you will go through the same training, as will all Marine enlistees. You will complete boot camp and then attend combat training. After that you will attend your MOS school (job school). Every Marine is a rifleman and every enlisted Marine goes through the same basic training.
Good for you joining the Corps.
