Could I enlist in Army Airborne Infantry immediately after Marine Recruit Training?
I would like to receive the best possible recruit training, but ultimately wish to go to Jump School to become a Paratrooper. I already am aware that many Marines have decided to become Airborne Soldiers, but could someone in the Marine Corps join right out of Boot Camp? Would they still receive the same College benefits provided by the Army?
I just would like to add that any serviceman from all branches can enlist in Army Airborne Infantry. Many have, but do you have to make an agreement with the branch you begin your service in?

Look, the people who enlist in the Army after the Marines, Air force, navy, coast guard, have already done their 3 or 4 years and completed their active duty obligation to the first branch of service before they join the army. You cannot join the Marines, go to recruit training, and then switch to the Army, which is what you seem to be saying. When you sign up, it is for 3 or 4 years in that branch of service. If you want to join the Marines, I’d do that and then, if you want to, try out for RECON or something and go to jump school, or get out, join the Army, and go airborne infantry, ranger. of special forces. Otherwise, look into what the Army has to offer (Rangers, Airborne Infnatry, special forces, etc.).
Navy SEALs, Air Force Special Operations, and Marine RECON and Special Operations Marines do go to jump school with all the army people at Fort Benning.
No. The United States Marine Corps do not want to spend all that money and have you go into the Army.
Do your Marine thing first, serve your tour, then transfer after your original contract is up.

While it is true that Marines (and all services) use the Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, GA, if it wasn’t included in your enlistment contract, you will have to apply for the school at your first duty station.
No, you cannot just change branches nilly willy. You have to wait until your contract is up, and then reenlist in the army, get an airborne physical, get airborne in your contract, then go to airborne school.
And no, I dont know where you heard that, but not just any servicemember from any branch can just go to airborne school just because they want to. If you want to change branches to the army, you first have to complete your contract in the Marines or navy or whatever. Then you have the option to change branches.
the only paratroopers in america are in the army….. and its not "airborne infantry" just jump school or airborne school. many pogs go there
