Having been to Parris Island, experienced issues, receiving letters with bs from parents who divorced while there, etc etc etc,,,all added up to me being sent home with short hair. One thing that every recruit needs to understand, you only get one chance to attempt this. If you fail, you will carry the guilt of regret your entire life. Not only do they fail they Corps, but they fail themselves. I have done well with my career and family, but will always have the "I wish I had kept a clear head and stuck with it" problem. So when all seems terrible and you cant take anymore, remember you will survive and it will be over soon. You can do it! I will always be proud of having been part of the Marines,,,but have to hang my head in shame for failing. A.Gore Hello.
