Marine Corps Videos

Marine Corps Combat Boots.  We all know that Marines are known for making the impossible a reality. We all know the many stories about how the battles were fought and won. The one thing that is always overlooked when looking at the exploits of the Marine Corps is the fact that everywhere the Marines were, they took their feet. I know that sounds really dumb, but the truth is that The Corps is all about the traditional phrase…”boots on the ground”.

The one thing that is often overlooked when preparing for Marine Corps boot camp is the fact that your feet need to be in good shape to graduate.  If you over look your feet while getting ready for boot camp you may be setting yourself up for some difficulty during your stay in boot camp.  It is suggested that if you have the time needed to break in your feet to wearing boots, then you should get yourself a set of boots very similar to what is worn in boot camp.  The closest thing we found is made by Danner and we placed this video here for your review.

We are not telling everyone to get a set of boots, we are just placing this here to help you get ready for boot camp while making you think about your feet.  While you are in boot camp you will be subjected to many things and the last thing you will need is to have to deal with blisters on your feet.  We are not telling you that you won’t get a blister while in boot camp, but we will tell you that you can minimize any blisters by simply allowing your feet a few weeks, or months to get adapted to the wearing of boots.

If you have the time, you simply need to wear the most similar boots available to combat boots and that alone will toughen up your skin.  Also, if you get a pair before you go to boot camp, you will know for sure what size you will need.  During the pressure of being in receiving, the last thing you need to do is ask for the wrong size boots.  Not only will you “annoy” your Drill Instructors, you run the risk of getting blisters and that would be bad since blisters will not get you a day off from training.  Nobody will really care.  Blisters will just make your life even more miserable.

Check out the video we found on the web, we did not post it and yet we agree with everything stated.
Whatever you do…take care of your feet so boot camp isn’t a pain in the foot, as well as a pain in the …

Authentic Marine Corps Combat Boots!

This will kick your butt and is just another example of how fit a recruit needs to graduate from Marine Corps boot camp. The United States Marine Corps Fitness test is one very difficult thing to do and you must complete it within the required time constraints, or you do not graduate from boot camp!

Snap in week, or grass week that recruits do during boot camp is not talked about very much.  I guess that is because it is not glamorous and exciting when observed.  Although this part of boot camp may not be that exciting, it is essential.  This week of training at the rifle range is what helps turn out such good shots within the rank of The United States Marines.

This is the week where recruits learn all about what it takes to get a round from their rifle into a stationary target up to 500 yards away.

Every Marine is a rifleman, first and foremost.  This is a short video that shows recruits firing rapid fire, from the 200 yard. I love listening to the PMI use the words that Marines train and live. It is a short video, but one that is very motivating.  I love the sounds of rifle fire and snap of the rounds hitting the targets.
